Students from Foundation to Year 6 engage in the Sale Diocese Curriculum, 'To Live in Christ Jesus', which provides a comprehensive progression of learning in Religious Education.
Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is based on four strands:
These strands are explored through four lenses:
Former Bishop Patrick O'Regan supported our curriculum, emphasising the importance of encountering the person, story, and message of Jesus Christ in our school communities.
Curriculum Aims
The curriculum draws from Scripture and the Catholic tradition of the Universal Church, aiming to recontextualize Scripture and make it relevant to students' lives today. Our Catholic School values dialogue, recognizes different cultures, and fosters an understanding of young people growing and maturing in contemporary society.

Prayer and Spirituality
Students engage in various formal and informal prayer experiences to deepen their relationship with God. Each class begins the day with morning prayer, led by the teacher/students.
Catholic Social Teaching (CST) is a key component of our learning, providing the 'why' behind supporting those less fortunate. We promote socially just behaviors, outreach, and student-driven initiatives.
School Liturgies
Celebrating our faith through liturgy is essential to school life. We hold Masses each term, which bring life to the school through music, prayer, and tradition. Parents and families are invited to join these celebrations.
Sacraments
Our Sacramental Program is family-centered, parish-based, school-supported, and catechist-led. We believe these moments are important family events, focusing on parents and children exploring faith together. For more information, please contact St Thomas the Apostle Parish in Cranbourne East.
