SPECIALIST / CLASSROOM TEACHER (FULL TIME / ONGOING)

St Josephine Bakhita Catholic Primary School is seeking dynamic and dedicated teacher who would be interested in teaching two specialist subjects (STEM and PE) as well as a small classroom role teaching 3 hours in a junior classroom for 2026.  The successful candidate will have the option to slowly move towards teaching one specialist area in future years as the school grows. 

The successful applicants will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. They will;

  • hold a current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
  • demonstrate a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children
  • develop and maintain professional and caring relationships
  • engage students in learning and facilitate best educational practice
  • demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of the Catholic church and school
  • display strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • effectively work as part of a professional educative team
  • demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the progression of learning in all curriculum areas, including Religious Education
  • differentiate learning according to student needs
  • actively involve themselves in personal learning
  • hold an accreditation or be willing to engage in accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.

All positions are classified under the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022.

CLASSROOM TEACHER (PART TIME 0.2 / ONGOING)

St Josephine Bakhita Catholic Primary School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated part-time (0.2) junior classroom teacher to join its amazing team of this exciting new school. This position is for one day a week, with the opportunity to potentially take on extra days over time. 

The successful applicants will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. They will;

St Josephine Bakhita Catholic Primary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Education Support Officer to join the team of this exciting new school. The position is 5 days a week, working with children in the junior grades.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. They will;

  • demonstrate a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children
  • develop and maintain professional and caring relationships
  • demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of the Catholic church and school
  • display strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • effectively work as part of a professional educative team
  • differentiate support practices according to student needs
  • actively involve themselves in personal learning
  • hold an current Working With Children Check and be willing to complete a National Police Record Check
  • Certificate III or IV in Education Support or work in schools is an advantage

All positions are classified under the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022.  The role is classified as a Level 2 ESO.
